Kelly Heilman

Kelly Heilman holds a Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics with a Minor in Philosophy from Sewanee: The University of the South. Earning her law degree in 2023, Kelly built a specialty in intellectual property prosecution, serving as Executive Editor for the Journal on Emerging Technologies, on which she authored a publication on the intersections between trademark law’s Rogers test and artificial intelligence. Kelly was also involved on the Executive Board for the Intellectual Property Law Society and St. Thomas More Society, always seeking to acquire a firm foundation in trademark law with a desire to serve others.

Spending her gap year between undergraduate and law school in San Diego with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Kelly brings a love for community and justice to her legal work. Kelly has served as an intern to Senior Judge Honorable Marian Horn of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, a summer clerk at the State of California Department of Justice, and an extern for General Counsel at NIBCO INC. She has years of distinct training and scholarship in theology and philosophy, prompting her to continue involvement in Catholic organizations and build community, for example, as part of Leonine Forum.

Since joining her firm after law school as a Law Clerk, Kelly continues to hone her legal knowledge on an array of intellectual property law, domain name disputes, and unfair competition. Kelly especially loves learning from and working with a diverse range of portfolios, growing her experience to an international level, and working with foreign associates to ensure trademark protection for a wide range of industries.

In her spare time, Kelly loves long-distance running, speaking Spanish, and reading psychology.
