Mark is President and CEO of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. He is also Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Center for Religious Liberty at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and has previously taught at Harvard Law School. At Catholic University, Mark teaches constitutional law, religious liberty, torts, and evidence. He has been voted Teacher of the Year three times.
Mark has broad experience litigating First Amendment religious exercise and free speech cases. He has represented the winning parties in a variety of Supreme Court First Amendment cases including Hobby Lobby, Little Sisters of the Poor, Wheaton College, McCullen, Holt v. Hobbs, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Fulton. Mark is a widely sought after speaker on constitutional issues, particularly concerning abortion and the First Amendment.
